Provide appropriate and timely case management by assessing the needs of individuals with protection concerns, developing and implementing tailored case plans based on needs, and ensuring appropriate follow-up while creating a climate of trust and care.
Job Description:
- Identify cases in need of case management, facing challenges related to protection concerns, and identify the level of the risk (low, medium, or High).
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of identified case needs and develop individualized case plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of beneficiaries toward their goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records for each beneficiary.
- Timely completion of case assessments and plans
- Ensure referrals to specialized multi-sectoral services to the identified cases.
- Provide age- and gender-appropriate awareness-raising key messages on critical SGBV and CP risks, SRHR, available services, and gender equality & and inclusion.
- Provide awareness sessions on critical SGBV and CP risks, SRHR, available services, and gender equality & and inclusion to targeted families.
- Refer beneficiaries to appropriate services and when necessary, accompany them to different service providers if need be
- Provide continuous basic emotional support and counseling through regular follow-up meetings, establishing a relationship built on trust and respecting confidentiality protocols
- Document cases on the internal case management platform and ensure that any progress on the action plan and any significant change in the client’s psychosocial well-being and overall situation is timely and duly recorded
- Conduct and document following internal guidelines and procedures assessments of protection cases
- Ensure proper and safe filing and archiving of case management files to maintain confidentiality of case information per established policies and regulations.
- Close cases when objectives in the case plan are met and no further needs are identified
- Manage and document under the supervision of the Senior Management Supervisor
- Respond promptly and effectively to crises, providing immediate support and coordinating emergency services as needed.
- Develop and implement crisis intervention plans and referral pathways for high-risk cases.
- Support in the monitoring and evaluation process to assess the outcome and impact of case management interventions
- Participate in internal case management meetings and bring to immediate attention any case of special/emergency needs to the Senior Management Supervisor
- Carry out all tasks respecting key protection principles, including but not limited to do no harm, non-discrimination, confidentiality, accountability, and need-to-know principles
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or other social science degree;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in case management in Lebanon within emergency response.
- Good understanding of the local context and social welfare and legal system for child protection services in Lebanon;
- Previous experience working with children/refugees/vulnerable populations.
- Proven experience engaging with different target groups from all backgrounds (children, families, local and international organizations, government, etc.);
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination, and safety of adolescents at all times;
- Ability to provide technical support, training, and supervision of caseworkers;
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and community resources.
- Flexibility in working overtime when needed;
- Teamwork
- English and Arabic (written, read, and spoken - not mandatory)
- Basic Computer Skills
- A clean criminal record is a MUST
- Availability of own car
- Ability to follow-up cases in a mobile unit ambiance.
