The duties and tasks for this post are:
1. Regular travel to field locations across Tyre/Bintjibail (high flexibility required).
2.Developing and maintaining relations with refugee and host communities, local authorities and other local actors, representing SHEILD and its donors in a professional and approachable manner.
3. Support the assessment and selection of beneficiaries, as per organizational guidelines, to receive essential, but light, shelter repair work.
4. Prepare and maintain individual beneficiary reports, tracing progress from start to finish.
5. Carry out essential, but light, shelter repair work through a hired team, and within the strict project budget.
6. Prepare weekly reports for project management on progress, highlighting significant challenges or items to be addressed.
7. Participate in relevant assessments as needed and attend relevant meetings at field level.
8. Assist in accompanying and briefing donor and organizational visitors on activities in the field.
9. Other duties as required. The qualified candidate must be flexible in this regard!
Qualifications:
Strong Arabic AND English reading, writing and comprehension skills, both languages are a must.
Previous experience in shelter repairs and contracting, preferably with some NGO experience.
Able to work outside of regular working hours as required, including evenings and weekends if required.
Able to work in a team setting, friendly and approachable to the other staff and beneficiaries.
