Logistics Officer

The duties and tasks are: 1. Regular travel to field locations across Tyre/Bintjibail (high flexibility required). 2. Developing and maintaining relations with refugee and host communities, local authorities and other local actors, representing SHEILD and its donors in a professional and approachable manner. 3.Manage the procurement and transportation of goods, work and services essential to the project, following strict donor and organizational procurement protocols. 4. Responsible for warehouse stock management and relative accounting and for accuracy of bi-weekly (twice a week) inventory; 5. To keep updated records of inventory and assets or material bought within the project and maintain responsibility for all purchases made for activity, insuring the highest quality with lowest price 6. Maintain adequate stock and voucher management for all distribution activities, from collecting quotations, vendor selection, contract preparation, reconciliation of vouchers, etc. 7. Responsible for maintenance of project and association's assets. 8. Contribute to data collection and reporting data as required. 9. Participate in relevant assessments as needed and attend relevant meetings at field level. 10. Assist in accompanying and briefing donor and organizational visitors on activities in the field. 11. Other duties as required. The qualified candidate must be flexible in this regard! Qualifications: Strong Arabic AND English reading, writing and comprehension skills, both languages are a must! Previous experience in logistics, preferably with an NGO preferred, especially with distribution projects. Able to work outside of regular working hours as required, including evenings and weekends if required. Able to work in a team setting, friendly and approachable to the other staff and beneficiaries.
