Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving all food components, washing fresh fruits and vegetables as per the SOP (standards of operating procedures), and packing and storing the snacks under appropriate conditions.
- Monitor and enforce food safety and quality control practices to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory levels, including tracking stock, conducting regular audits, and ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff on packing procedures, food safety and hygiene guidelines, and quality standards as per the training calendar in coordination with the quality control officer.
- Monitor expiration dates in inventory.
- Enforce FEFO (first expired first out) system for dry food products.
- Manage the proper disposal of waste, damaged or expired products.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of the operations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Control and monitor the dispatching of snacks as per route plans and truck distribution.
- Daily monitoring of personal hygiene, staff turnover, warehouse cleaning, and temperature control of storage areas.
- Prepare and submit daily reports on staff performance, quality of products, productivity, and any discrepancies to the quality control and food safety officer.
- Check daily monitoring checklists and communicate any safety incidents, quality issues, equipment malfunction, or shortage of sanitizing products and personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics management, supply chain management, business administration, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of food quality control and food safety practices.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or food production operation is a must.
- Certification/ courses in food safety, HACCP, or warehouse management are a plus.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure excellent communication skills.
