Case Management Program Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

The Protection Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing on-the-ground operations, ensuring the successful execution of projects and activities under the Protection Program. This position requires strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a passion for making a positive impact in the field. The program coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that protection activities are implemented effectively and efficiently, adhering to established standards and best practices.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Project Planning & Implementation:

o Strategically plan project activities, developing and implementing action plans to efficiently achieve targeted goals.

o Ensure that all interventions are in compliance with SHiFT strategies and policies.

o Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with international laws, humanitarian principles, and protection standards.

o Oversee the day-to-day implementation of field projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.

o Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and propose adaptive measures for effective implementation.

o Manage project budgets, including forecasting expenditures and ensuring alignment with donor requirements.

o Coordinate with other departments to ensure beneficiaries have access to necessary services.

o Facilitate smooth execution of project activities by coordinating with project teams and troubleshooting any challenges that arise.

o Supervise field staff by providing guidance, training, mentorship and motivation to ensure high performance.

o Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages open communication and teamwork.

o Review progress in achieving project objectives and targets in collaboration with the Program Manager.

o Contribute to the development and implementation of integrated programming approaches that serve the needs of beneficiaries

o Manage logistics for field operations efficiently, including transportation, equipment, and supplies.

o Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

· Stakeholder Engagement:

o Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government entities, and partner organizations.

o Represent the organization in the field as a liaison between the community and project leadership.

o Conduct field assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

· Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:

o Implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track the progress and impact of protection activities.

o Liaise with the M&E Department to ensure that the output and impact data are captured and used to optimize program quality and identify efficiencies.

o Ensure accurate reporting of data within the team in close coordination with the M&E officer.

o Analyze data collected from interventions to inform program adjustments and improve outcomes.

o Prepare timely reports on project activities, outputs, and outcomes; including Monthly, Quarterly, and End-of-Year Reports for internal and external stakeholders.

o Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices for knowledge sharing within the organization

· Networking and Partnerships:

o Identify potential partners, including local organizations, government agencies, and NGOs, to enhance the project’s impact and sustainability.

o Collaborate with external stakeholders to leverage resources, expertise, and support for project activities.

o Represent SHiFT at related coordination meetings, ensuring proper dissemination of information among relevant partners, donors and relevant government institutions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social work, Counseling, or any other related field.

· A minimum of three years of experience working in the humanitarian or development field.

· Ability to work under pressure with short deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

· Strong knowledge of protection principles and humanitarian standards.

· Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, able to handle pressure well; experienced in cross-cultural settings.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity.

· Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse groups of people.

· Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms.

· Knowledge of community dynamics in the target area is essential.

· Strong Organizational skills with project management experience.

· Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.

· Fluency in written and spoken Arabic; proficiency in English is required.

· Data collection and reporting skills are essentials.

· Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

· Adherence to SHiFT's internal policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies.

CONDITIONS

- Part time working hours: 4 days per week.

- Willingness to travel abroad for meetings and conferences (where applicable).
