Center Coordinator

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Center Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our education center. The Center Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring educational activities, ensuring student engagement, and maintaining communication with parents and caregivers. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all center activities, ensuring alignment with educational objectives and program guidelines.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the educational activities taking place within the center to ensure high-quality learning experiences.
  • Follow up on student attendance and drop-out rates, implementing strategies to improve student retention and engagement.
  • Maintain regular contact with parents and caregivers, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Assist the Education Technical Coordinator in the observation and evaluation of teacher performance, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and rules.
  • Assist the Education Technical Coordinator in the review and follow up on teachers' lesson plans, providing feedback and support as needed to enhance instructional quality.
  • Monitor and manage the center's daily schedule, ensuring that all activities are well-coordinated, and resources are utilized effectively.
  • Create and maintain an inventory of center resources, tracking supplies and equipment and ensuring availability for educational activities.
  • Monitor progress towards education targets and develop work plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed, maintaining a secure environment for all beneficiaries.
  • Identify and address any safety-related issues promptly.
  • Observe and refer any cases of concern regarding student welfare or safety to the appropriate personnel for further action.
  • Carry out awareness session for parents.
  • Distribute and monitor the use of educational materials according to procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining archiving system up to date (both in hardcopies and electronically).
  • Report weekly & monthly (or more often, if required) on activities and results.
  • Prepare attendance records.

     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in educational settings, with a focus on program coordination or management.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations or in humanitarian contexts.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safety standards in educational environments.
  • Proficient in data management and reporting tools.
