Shadda Media Lab is a media platform and a shared working space for media producers in Tripoli. 

Shadda was established at Shift Social Innovation Hub with the contribution of a group of youth, with the aim of promoting peace and positivity through informative, entertaining, and realistic content.

Shadda is the first media lab to offer its services directly to marginalized communities in the areas in Tripoli. Shadda also provides a safe space for workshop and content creation, in addition to providing the basic equipment for content creation for every young man and woman with the passion to create meaningful innovative content. 

Job Description

We are looking for a professional and creative trainer in Media Editing and Graphics fields. He/she will be facilitating “How to Edit on Mobile App & Adobe Premiere” training to a group of 25 individuals, for 3 full days, including providing support for the team to develop advanced experience in the different styles of editing for social media apps. The aim of the training is to improve the process of content making that will be posted to our platform on social media.

The trainer will focus on developing and conducting a training for the participants to better understand and get advanced experience in Adobe Premiere & knowledge on Mobile editing apps to help participants build a strong editing ability to produce content on social media.  

As a facilitator, you will be surrounded by academic participants, from different cultural backgrounds, who have good media experience. We expect that you are familiar with the essence of the content, to be interactive in delivering the training and to present the practical side.

The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience and knowledge about the strengths of the new media platforms. He/she must be a highly motivated individual with experience and passion for content creation and marketing. It’s very crucial that the team receives trainings on professional skills.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching and supporting the team in upgrading their editing knowledge.
• Getting familiar with projects being prepared to plan the content accordingly.
• Delivering the training in an interactive way and focusing on the practical side.
• Being familiar with the action plan and planned trainings.
• Creating your vision about the expected results and goal of the project.
• Coordinating the follow up with our mentor.
• Taking in consideration the team's capabilities, available materials, and logistics.

Qualifications

• Certifications and experience in Media and Information work.  
• Advanced Knowledge in Adobe Premiere, editing to sound & voiceover, music integration, graphics & transitions.
• Knowledge in mobile editing apps.
• Strong facilitation and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Conflict Sensitivity Training is an Asset.

• Experience in conducting trainings.
• Excellent social and personal relationships.

• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).

• Excellent English technical words knowledge.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in similar specialization.
• Experience and ability to deal with unexpected challenges.
• Wide vision about the effective work on social media.
• High comfort level with social media platforms such as:  Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
