Education Center Supervisor

Job Summary

1. Purpose of the Consultancy

The Education Center Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination, and supervision of all education and psychosocial support activities at the MAKANI Center. The position ensures the smooth implementation of the program, quality delivery of services, effective coordination with outreach and community teams, and compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.

2. Main Tasks and Responsibilities

· Work with the Education Field Coordinator and the teachers to design and update the timetable of activities in the center.

· Monitor the quality, relevance, and impact of center activities.

· Ensure that all center activities align with the overall project work plan and objectives.

· Organize regular meetings with center staff to review progress and adapt plans as needed.

· Supervise all staff within the center including teachers, facilitators, assistants, and volunteers.

· Monitor attendance and participation of students and caregivers and follow up on facilitators timesheets and attendance.

· Identify staff training needs in coordination with the Education technical coordinator and CP officer and ensure all staff are trained on Child Protection and other mandatory topics.

· Collect and consolidate the logistic needs of the center (stationery, learning materials, furniture, etc.).

· Prepare and submit procurement requests and ensure timely delivery and appropriate use of materials.

· Verify stock availability and monitor supplies to ensure the center remains fully equipped.

· Support and oversee all distributions related to children or caregivers.

· Coordinate with outreach workers and volunteers to identify and refer vulnerable children to the center.

· Support in developing strategies and action plans to foster community participation in MAKANI Center activities.

· Liaise closely with local authorities, public school principals, municipalities, and community leaders to strengthen collaboration.

· Ensure accurate collection and filing of all beneficiary data, including registration, attendance, and progress forms.

· Prepare and submit regular monitoring and activity reports to the Education Field Coordinator.

· Contribute to evaluation processes by providing information and feedback on program effectiveness.

· Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with data protection standards.

· Collaborate with internal departments (Child Protection, Outreach, MEAL, Logistics) for coordinated service delivery.

· Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Education Field Coordinator in line with the project’s objectives and priorities.

3. Qualifications

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Management, or related field.

Experience:

· Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in education or child protection programming, preferably in NGO or humanitarian contexts.

· Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-component education centers or learning spaces.

· Experience supervising staff, managing logistics, and coordinating with community stakeholders.

· Previous experience in working with vulnerable children, refugees, or marginalized groups.

Skills and Competencies:

· Strong leadership, coordination, and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Good knowledge of child-centered and inclusive learning approaches.

· Fluency in Arabic and excellent command of English (spoken and written).

Requirement:

  • Fees: 800$
  • Duration: 12 months; starting 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2026
  • Working hours: 5 days per week, from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM
  • Languages: Fluent in Arabic, Excellent in English, Good in French.
