JOB OVERVIEw
SHiFT-Social innovation hub is implementing a project on protection mainstreaming for most vulnerable children in Tripoli, in partnership with UNICEF Lebanon-child protection sector. Activities will take place in 4 community centers in the areas of Jabal Mehsen, Tebbaneh, Mankoubine and Kobbeh but will target children and their caregivers from designated areas and surroudings including Amerken, Bekkar, Riva and Mashrou3 el hariri, wadi el nahle, jabal el beddawi… This intervention aims at supporting hard to reach children (including category of invisibles especially women, adolescent girls, and disabled.) to get back on track, sensitize them on their rights and link them with available services upon their needs to prevent them from getting involved in grave violations. This program is put together following community-based approach according to IASC minimum standards and DO NO HARM principle, all based on a survivor centered approach. This intervention will tackle various perspectives from the children’s daily lives through a set of interactive activities, including but not limited to environmental sensitization, sports for development, community theater, community-based PSS… and more. Activities will be designed in accordance with QUDWA strategy. SHiFT is currently seeking the expertise of a Project Coordinator with child protection background to support in the implementation process, coordinate with team members and follow up on activities.
Project Coordinator will work in close coordination with Programme Manager to facilitate the activities implementation process and ensure adherence to SHiFT’s internal rules and regulations including PSEA and Child safeguarding measures.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Create/follow up on project schedule with milestones, due date and ensure project team follow through agreed upon agenda.
- Coordinate logistics for field team throughout implementation of activities and planned events
- Coach field team during visits
- Coordinate different aspects of the project including gathering reporting templates and required internal paper work from field team.
- Coordinate risk and challenges and propose alternatives.
- Ensure adherence to the organization’s rules and regulations.
- Establish appropriate communication channels with various departments within SHiFT to ensure project requirements are met in a timely efficient manner.
- Monitor safety and security situation ahead of implementation of field activities.
Minimum required knowledge & experience:
- Candidate is expected to be detailed oriented
- Dependable, as project manager would rely on project officer follow up over several things
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain positive and professional attitude
- Have good communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Fluency in Arabic required. Basic ability to communicate in English.
- Strong communication skills
- Efficiency, integrity and flexibility required at all times
- Critical thinking and analysis competencies
- Create and maintain a strong filing System
- Efficient, transparent and professional.
Preferred
- Basic ability to communicate in English is an added value.
- INGO or NGO experience is a must
- Knowledge about PSEA and Child safeguarding
- Familiar with the feedback and complaint mechanism
- Experience working with refugee population
- Skilled at using basic computer programs – Microsoft Word and Excel
