Job Summary 

Background 

SHiFT is a social innovation hub working to develop community-driven solutions that address economic, social, and humanitarian challenges in Lebanon. Through its various programs, SHiFT supports local initiatives that promote sustainable livelihoods, social development, and improved access to essential services. 

Purpose of the Consultancy 

SHiFT is preparing to implement an Emergency Food Assistance Project in collaboration with humanitarian partners to support vulnerable populations residing in shelters across North Lebanon. The project aims to ensure the safe preparation, monitoring, and distribution of food meals to beneficiaries while maintaining strong food safety standards, quality control measures, monitoring systems, and accountability mechanisms. To support the implementation of this project, SHiFT is opening applications for the following positions, subject to project activation from the donor.  

Main Tasks and Responsibilities 

Field Operations and Coordination: 

• Receive the daily production and distribution plan from the Project Coordinator and organize field implementation accordingly.  

• Assign field tasks to volunteers within the designated geographic area.  

• Coordinate with van drivers and shelter focal points to ensure smooth delivery and distribution of items.  

Distribution Monitoring:  

• Verify that quantities dispatched from the kitchen correspond with the quantities received at shelters.  

• Monitor distribution activities in the field to ensure that processes follow the agreed procedures and schedules.  

• Support monitoring activities including spot checks and basic verification of distribution processes.  

Documentation and Reporting:  

• Collect and review distribution sheets, attendance records, and field documentation from volunteers.  

• Gather supporting documentation such as photos and activity records. • Submit all documentation and daily reports to the Project Coordinator in a timely manner.  

Accountability and Field Support  

• Support basic feedback and complaint handling processes during field activities.  

• Ensure clear communication with volunteers and shelter focal points to address operational issues during distributions.  

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Management, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field.  

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in field-based humanitarian or development projects.  

• Previous experience working with community volunteers is considered an asset. 

Timing: This consultancy will begin upon the signature of contract between SHiFT and the consultant. 

Location: Baqqar – El Quobbeh- Tripoli
