Job Summary
The Protection Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing on-the-ground operations, ensuring the successful execution of projects and activities under the Protection Program. The coordinator will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a passion for making a positive impact in the field.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Planning implementation:
- Plan and orchestrate strategically project activities, demonstrating a keen ability to develop and implement action plans to efficiently achieve targeted goals.
- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of field projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Oversee the execution of the project, ensuring proper coordination, resource allocation, and timely implementation.
- Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and propose adaptive measures to ensure effective implementation.
- Coordinate with other departments in order to ensure the access of beneficiaries for all services.
- Coordinate with project teams to facilitate smooth execution and troubleshoot any challenges that may arise during field activities.
- Supervise and support field staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure high performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
- Manage logistics for field operations, including transportation, equipment, and supplies.
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government entities, and partner organizations.
- Represent the organization in the field, serving as a liaison between the community and project leadership.
- Conduct regular field assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
- Implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track the progress and impact of protection activities.
- Ensure adequate and accurate reporting of data-Activity Info and reporting within the team in close coordination with the M&E officer.
- Collect data to assess the effectiveness of interventions and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare timely and accurate reports on project activities, outputs, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices to contribute to knowledge sharing and organizational learning.
- Networking and Partnerships:
- Identify and engage potential partners, including local organizations, government agencies, and NGOs, to enhance the project’s impact and sustainability.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to leverage resources, expertise, and support for project activities.
- Represent the organization in relevant meetings, conferences, and events related to protection.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key community members, local leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of working experience in the humanitarian/development field.
- Ability to work with short deadlines and under pressure.
- Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, able to handle pressure well and work in cross-cultural settings.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse groups of people.
- Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms
- Knowledge of the community and cultural dynamics in the target area.
- Organizational and project management skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English. Data collection and reporting skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for outreach events.

Conditions
- Full-Time working hours: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm.
- Willingness to travel abroad for meetings and conferences (where applicable).
