Job Summary

Background

Purpose of the Consultancy

The mural painter is expected to create a visually captivating and artistically engaging mural artwork at the designated location. The mural will be a significant part of Women on Frontlines project and should reflect the theme, values, and objectives of the project.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Mural Painter selected for this assignment should undertake the following tasks:

1. Conceptualization: The mural painter will collaborate with the project team to develop a mural concept that aligns with the project's goals and aesthetics. The concept should consider the surrounding environment and any specific themes or messages to be conveyed.

2. Design Proposal: Based on the agreed-upon concept, the mural painter will create a detailed design proposal, including color schemes, layout, and key visual elements. This proposal will be presented to the project team for approval before proceeding to the execution phase.

3. Execution: Once the design is approved, the mural painter will commence the painting process. This includes preparing the mural surface, applying layers of paint, and ensuring attention to detail in the execution of the design. The wall surface is 6x4 m.

4. Materials: The mural painter will provide a list of required materials for the project, including types of paint, brushes, and any additional materials necessary for the mural's completion. The client will be responsible for procuring the materials.

5. Timeline: The mural painter will provide a realistic timeline for the completion of the mural painting.

Qualifications

The consultant should have:

• Outstanding painting skills
• Previous experience in wall painting
• Ability to adhere to deadline and flexibility
• Experience working in post conflict zone areas

Timing: This consultancy will begin upon the signature of contract between SHiFT and the consultant and will end by the 25th of August latest.

Location: Baqqar – El Quobbeh- Tripoli

Copyright and Intellectual properties

The consultant expressly assigns to SHiFT any copyright arising from the works the consultant produces while executing contract. The consultant may not use, reproduce or otherwise disseminate or authorize others to use, reproduce or disseminate such works without prior consent from SHiFT.

Payment

Payment will be made in two instalments

30% upon signature agreement

70% upon delivery of the mural painting.
