Information Management Officer

Job purpose 

To lead data management on the Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (RMEL) team on a large, multi-year systems change project in the public sector in Lebanon.

Responsibilities 

• Create, maintain and oversee a project database that stores data from various M&E and research activities
• Use the database to create dashboards and/or other relevant data visualisations as necessary for project stakeholders
• Oversee a network of enumerators (including training and debriefing), and manage their data inputs
• Provide cleaned datasets to RMEL team members as necessary for project activity
• Contribute to initial analysis of quantitative datasets as and when necessary
• Provide rigorous sampling frameworks to guide enumerators when collecting data
• Propose and provide regular recommendations and updates to how the RMEL team create, store and use data

Qualifications 

Essential:

• 5 years + experience in information management for a business, NGO or think tank
• Relevant academic background (computer science, mathematics, statistics, science etc)
• Proven experience managing large databases and related datasets, including range of database and  

        management software

• Proven experience with dashboard creation and data visualization using a variety of software
• Excellent quantitative data analysis skills, as well as ability to prepare sampling frameworks
• Experience using a variety of software including ArcGIS, digital data collection tools, R, SPSS etc.
• Fluent in English and Arabic
• Out of the box thinker, motivated by contributing to change in Lebanon, and keen to work on an exciting team

 Desirable:

• Additional software knowledge and skills a bonus
