French Speaking Trainer

Job Title: French Speaking Trainer - Beirut

Reports to: Prevention Department Manager

Job Summary

The French Speaking Trainer is responsible for preparing and implementing 64 prevention sessions of up to 1.5 hour on substance use in French speaking schools in Beirut.

Tasks and Duties

- Preparing & adapting three training modules for French speaking school students

- Contribute to the development of educational and information materials needed for the prevention program

- Conduct pre and post evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the implemented awareness sessions

- Prepare analysis reports and progress reports to the Prevention Department Manager.

- Implementing the following awareness sessions:

For Grades 10, 11, 12 (8 classes each grade/ 28 to 35 students per class)

• Session 1: General information about drugs, their effect on the body, consequences and harms, information about addiction
• Session 2: Skills on how to resist and cope with peer pressure, how to be assertive

Grades 8 & 9 (8 classes each grade/ 28 to 35 students per class)

• One general session per class (1 to 1.5 hr) covering general information about drugs, particularly tobacco, alcohol and vaping, general tips to resist to peer pressure.

Education and Experience

Educational Background

University degree in Psychology, Public Health, or Education.

Languages

Excellent in French. English and Arabic are a plus.

Related Work Experience

About 2 years of related experience, preferably in schools.

             Presentation Skills

             Experience in classroom management

Number of sessions: 64

Salary: USD 1600, for the 64 sessions including all costs.
