Responsibilities:
- Staff supervision
- Supervise GBV caseworkers.
- Support caseworkers through the provision of technical guidance. Ensure that staff implement and respect best-practice and international standards in GBV and CP response in coordination with the Protection manager
- Provide age and gender appropriate and specialized support to GBV caseworkers on case management and psychosocial support tosurvivors
- Hold inter-agency case management meetings for high-risk cases when needed
- Attend Best Interest Determination meetings and advocate for the best interest and safety of the child
- Maintain positive work relationship within the team, and promote team-building efforts In coordination with the Protection manager
- Grant implementation and reporting
- Produce monthly reports and support the Manager in submitting internal and donor reports as per schedule
- Monthly monitor of the efficient and accurate updating of the GBV case management database. Compile the data and make note of trends observed
- Monthly review of open cases using case supervision tools and develop systems for regular supervision of case management
- Prepare and submit weekly andmonthly work plans in a timely manner
- Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program
- Participate in regular supervisory meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care and appropriate case management
- Coordination and representation
- Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers
- Contribute to the maintenance of an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and ensure that caseworkers are informed about the available services
- Receive referrals from different agencies assign and follow-up on action plans
- Provide feedback of actions taken to Officers and other agencies when necessary
- Activity participate in GBV Working groups, GBVIMS Working groups and other relevant sector working groups and coordination meetings
- Act as inter-agency focal point of the GBV case management hubs, receive and respond to case management referrals
- Technical support
- Remain abreast of SOPs and best practices at the field, on the national and global level
- Ensure all GBV caseworkers are familiar, practice and adhere to the IASC GBV guidelines
- Provide trainings to case management team on case management component (includes emotional support group, etc.)
- Work directly with low, medium and eventually high risk cases by the end of the project
Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)
- At least 2-3 years of experience in counseling survivors of gender-based violence or vulnerable women and girls/and or in child protection case management
- Strong written and oral communication skills, effective in representation and liaison with external parties.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times;
- Ability to provide technical support, trainings and supervision of GBV and CP caseworkers
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility
- Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
- Flexibility in working overtime when needed
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well
