Responsibilities:

 

  • The Psychologist will provide Psychological Support to most critical identified cases and Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) case workers promoting an integrative and holistic survivor centered approach.
  • Assist the SGBV case workers in the detection of most vulnerable cases.
  • Provide case management service to high risk cases
  • Report & produce and maintain accurate records and follow up action plans of the beneficiaries (cases files and technical reports must be archived in locked and secure location, access to them should be restricted only to relevant, authorized  SGBV project staff)
  • Psychologist will provide assistance to SGBV case workers when needed
  • Developing a consistent and acceptable treatment plan with clear objectives
  • Provision of a  structured clinical assessments and clear case formulation,
  • Recognize mental health priority conditions as per the mhGAP
  • To develop a consistent and acceptable treatment plan with clear objectives
  • Identify cases requiring psychiatric mental health services and refer to the appropriate actors. Coordinate with these service providers to adapt the therapeutic plan of the client accordingly
  • Experience providing clinical supervision or leading trainings is a plus
  • Monitoring and evaluating the psychological progress of the client
  • Knowledge about the predictable stresses of humanitarian aid work and the policies and practices needed to mitigate them

 

  • Coordination :
  • Coordinate and facilitate Emotional Support Groups with women and girls survivors of GBV
  • Complete documenting and monitoring tools relevant to the activities implemented
  • Contribute to the maintenance of an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and ensure that caseworkers are informed about the available services
  • Actively participate and contribute to Mental Health and psychosocial support, GBV and other relevant coordination mechanisms as requested by the protection manager. Share relevant information and action points with the protection manager and GBV officers and coordinators when applicable
  • Remain abreast of SOPs and best practices at the field, the national and global level

Experience and technical competencies:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings, specifically working with GBV case management  Program ;
  • Experience in providing trainings and building capacity of staff.
  • Ability to use standardized assessment tools 
  • Skilled in at least one evidenced-based psychotherapy approach Using different relaxation &stress management
  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility.
  • Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
  • Flexibility in working overtime when needed;
