Communication and Design Officer

Society for Inclusion and Development for Community, and Care for All (SIDC) initiated its work in 1987 (decree 9 / AD) with the aim of improving the social and health situation of the most vulnerable groups and defending their human rights, their right to health, social and mental health services as well as their right to work and live in dignity.

SIDC is seeking a communication and design officer for the project "FYBY- For YOU-th by YOU-th” empowered by the UNICEF, with the overall objective of reaching out to as many vulnerable youths as possible to educate them and correct their misconceptions about taboo topics through designing, developing and supervising outdoor campaigns, producing videos and designing social media material.  
The communication and design  officer will be operating at SIDC to fulfill the roles and responsibilities detailed below.

Obligations of the service provider

Implementation & coordination

• Design and implement a communication and visibility strategy for the FYBY project empowered by UNICEF
• Develop and support in the finalization of 5 campaign activities (themes, material, implementation, ideas etc.)
• Support in the script writing and production of the L-I-F-E video
• Support in the production of a video script aiming to showcase the success of the caregivers’ curriculum
• Support in the development of new flyers for the project and or update the already existing flyers and communication material
• Provide drafts of the designs and content to be reviewed and approved by UNICEF
• Incorporate all comments of the design provided by UNICEF and SIDC
• Finalize the design of the standardized guide developed by SIDC. The guide requires minor updates.
• Branding in terms of UNICEF and SIDC’s requirements
• Coordinate with the communication officer and the program coordinator and attend meetings to discuss the development and launch of the communication material.

Qualifications and experience:

• A University Degree in Communications, Journalism or equivalent.
• Previous employment experience (minimum 3 years) in communication, journalism, media.
• Prior experience in a non-profit or international field, with health-related issues
• Familiar with all social media platforms
• Has the ability to design and develop new social media material and campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
