Key responsibilities
• Oversee all day-to-day operations of SIDC and its employees
• Participate in the development of the strategic plan with the Board of directors
• Oversee work of Departments and monitor activities
• Perform evaluations of Department Managers based on a clear performance evaluation mechanism
• Effectively lead, manage and develop relevant staff, in respect to recruitment, appraisals, performance and personal development
• Ensure all rules, regulations and policies of SIDC are respected by all staff
• Oversee SIDC’s programs, assist with program administration and ensure the quality of all services
• Oversee the budget preparation process and present final budget to the Board of Directors• Provide leadership and assistance in resolving issues regarding staff, beneficiaries and their families
• Ensure that opportunities for grant aid for SIDC are optimized and work with the proposal development team to develop proposals to ensure continuous funding
• Follow-up on the project implementation and ensure that all projects are implemented according to agreed standard
• Devise plans to develop existing programs
• Review all financial and admin reports
Key competencies
• Fluent in Arabic and English (Oral and written)
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, basic software applications and familiarity with the internet and email communications
• Very good interpersonal and communication skills
• High motivation, networking skills, and conflict management skills
Educational qualifications/ experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in social science, business administration or related discipline, Master’s degree is a plus
• At least 7 years of professional experience in NGO management or related field with minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior position
• Strong track record of past performance in positions of leadership with ability to motivate and generate respect and trust from staff and external stakeholders
