Society for Inclusion and Development for Community, and Care for All (SIDC) initiated its work in 1987 (decree 9 / AD) with the aim of improving the social and health situation of the most vulnerable groups and defending their human rights, their right to health, social and mental health services as well as their right to work and live in dignity.
SIDC is seeking a monitoring and evaluation officer (M&E) for the project "FYBY- For YOU-th by YOU-th” empowered by the UNICEF, with the overall objective of collecting, analyzing and evaluating the data and findings related to the knowledge, attitude and behaviors of the youth, the caregivers and frontline workers who are in direct contact with vulnerable youth.
The M&E officer will be operating at SIDC to fulfill the roles and responsibilities detailed below.
Obligations of the service provider
M&E implementation & coordination
- Develop and discuss, in coordination with the program coordinator, an M&E plan including tools and reporting systems (monthly and quarterly reports) on all project’s activities
- Ensure timely implementation of the M&E plan of the project through following-up on indicators (quantitative and qualitative) to ensure timely progress towards targets
- Liaise with program coordinator and project team to collect data using the M&E tools.
- Conduct periodic supervision and data quality checks (monitor the implementation of activities and the quality of the data including completeness, timeliness, and integrity)
- Identify challenges or delays in implementation and inform the Programs Coordinator accordingly for timely action in order to find adequate solutions.
- Provide technical support on monitoring and evaluation where needed, including, but not limited to data system management (data collection tools development, data entry), trainings, material development, capacity building activities, and technical assistance where needed or when asked by the Programs Coordinator
Reporting
- Consolidate field data to be submitted regularly to donors under the program frameworks and indicators using online platforms.
- Support in the completion of the narrative report through providing monthly data and M&E reports to the program coordinator
- Submit monthly report including all the deliverables related to the consultancy.
Qualifications and experience:
- Advanced University degree in Public Health or any other related field
- Not less than 5 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation and/or related field
- Prior experience in a non-profit or international field, with health-related issues
- Has the ability to develop M&E tools to monitor and evaluate the project findings.
- Has the ability to update the project’s database.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
