Project objective:
The objective of the “Enhanced sexual reproductive health and mental health response in Akkar for women and girls” project is to build the capacity of IRC and IRC’s partners outreach volunteers and frontline workers on Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and Mental Health (MH) related topics and on the referral pathways in addition to increasing awareness on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Mental Health and Psycho Social Support (MHPSS), and protection of clients fron Gender Based Violence (GBV), Mental Health (MH) and Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) risks
The VCT personnel will be operating during the implementation of the above mentioned project to fulfill the roles and responsibilities detailed below:
Obligations of the service provider:
- Conduct 1 to 2 VCT sessions per month in Akkar.
- Raise awareness on sexual and reproductive health, substance abuse, GBV and risky behaviors during the VCT session
- Conduct pre-counseling and post-counseling sessions for the vulnerable populations in Akkar.
- Conduct rapid HIV, HBV, HCV and SYPHILLIS testing.
- Refer individuals who get tested to free and needed services at SIDC
- Report to the project coordinators with any and all data and challenges.
- Work collaboratively with the other project staff.
- Attend regular meetings with the project staff.
- Regularly update the data entry required by the project.
Qualifications and experience:
1- Has a bachelor degree in nursing, medical laboratory sciences, social work or any other relevant fields
2- Previous experience working in HIV/AIDs programs.
3- Attended the VCT training with the National Aids Program is a plus.

1- Able to provide accurate information about HIV and STIs, substance use and harm reduction.
2- Has active listening skills.
3- Respectful and supportive.
4- Self-confident.
