Math & Science Teacher

Society for Social Support and Education (SSSE) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Math & Science Teacher to teach students at one of its educational centers located in the Bekaa region: Ghazzah or Kamed El Laouz. The teacher will assist in delivering a non-formal education program during the afternoon shift to Syrian refugee children from ECE1 to Grade 6.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the planning and implementation of the non-formal Math & Science education activities including: outreach, community mobilization, awareness session, training.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons according to the non-formal curriculum.
• Assess and report on the behavior and progress of students.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments. 
• Manage students' behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. 
• Register and monitor the attendance of students.
• Ensure highest standards of quality and applying up-to-date teaching methods.
• Collaborate with the school principal, teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings. 
• Participate in subject unit, school, and parent meetings.  
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs. 
• Help in executing educational in-class and outdoor activities and events. 
• Observe and understand students' behavior and report any neglect, abuse, etc. 
• Attend all training courses provided by SSSE.
