Researcher and proposal developer

1. Job Summary:

We are seeking a Researcher and Proposal Developer to support the implementation and initiation of projects under The Socio-Economic Justice Initiative – MAAN. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the political context in Lebanon, experience in youth mobilization, knowledge of policy change processes, and a proven track record in developing impactful campaigns and donor proposals.

2. Objective The overall objective of engaging Researcher and proposal developer in evaluating the projects.

The Researcher and proposal developer will majorly develop Contextual analysis for reporting and write a proposal for donors

3. Job Description:

➢ Conduct desk reviews and literature reviews to gather and synthesize relevant data and information. ➢ Organize and facilitate roundtable discussions with activists and stakeholders to inform the contextual analysis.

➢ Draft a comprehensive contextual analysis highlighting key socio-economic and political dynamics. ➢ Translate research findings into clear, evidence-based insights to support strategic decision-making. ➢ Develop and write donor proposals that align with the goals of the Socio-Economic Justice Initiative – MAAN and meet donor requirements.

➢ Ensure that all outputs emphasize sustainability, policy relevance, and potential for impactful action.

4. Duration of the Assignment: The Period for this contract is from September 15 to September 30.

5. Qualifications and Experience:

Advanced degree in Social Sciences, Political Science, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in research, contextual analysis, or policy-related work in Lebanon. Strong understanding of the Lebanese political, social, and economic context. Experience in drafting donor proposals and fundraising documents.

Demonstrated ability to engage with youth groups, activists, and civil society organizations.

Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills in English and Arabic.

Experience in organizing and facilitating workshops, consultations, or roundtables is an asset. Commitment to social and economic justice, sustainability, and inclusive policy change.
