Activity Manager Information Management

Goal /   Purpose:   Under the   supervision of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment and Learning (MEAL)   Manager or MEAL Coordinator, the AM IM will support and assist the different   programs teams in the management of data of all SOL’s activities. Together   with the MEAL Manager of Coordinator, he will design and implement a   country-specific data management strategy to analyze and disseminate   information about SOL’s activities. Where information gaps exist, the AM IM   may help setting up primary data collection systems and organize needs   assessments. He will also support the Database Officer and the Hotline   Officer in their daily work.   The AM IM will   work in close cooperation with SI Program Teams to ensure that he/she has an   in-depth knowledge of the specificities of the programs conducted.   Responsibilities:   Data management Design an improved and   inter-operable information management strategy in SOL’s base; Manage the information   management strategy and produce standard operating procedures for each data   collection/analysis system; Analyse regional and   national data, contribute to identify information management gaps, and facilitate   information sharing with SOL’s partners; Identify new information and   data requirements to support operations and partners in the region. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and mapping Create maps upon requests,   linked to data collected on the field; Monitor accuracy of data   collected, ensure regular updates and solve eventual discrepancies; Train program staffs on   usage of GPS and entering of GPS coordinates. Institutional Knowledge Building Organize training sessions   on IT-related topics; Oversee and implement the   archiving of base’s programs respecting the mission archiving policy.   The above list is a non   exhaustive one, nor limitative.
