Community Mobilization Officer

MISSION   Goal / Purpose: Under the supervision of the Activity Manager and the Community Mobilization Program Manager, the community mobilizer is in charge of the creation, the training, the support and the follow-up of Committees in Informal settlements and Collective Shelters hosting vulnerable families amongst Syrian refugees in the intervention area. Responsibilities: General responsibilities To work on the creation of the committees with the implementation of a comprehensive/ participatory approach with the communities targeted. To ensure that committees are provided with adequate training and to follow-up on their work and impact. To maximized site residents understanding of committee mandate and scope. Also to encourage residents involvement in committee project and activities. Action-related Responsibilities Ensure the good process of all the stages of committee creation and provide them with the adequate support. Conduct monitoring of the activities, analysis the data collection and plan activities accordingly. Report daily activities, incidents, achievements and adaptations made to the management. Represent SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL when necessary (during meetings and trainings, or in other SOL programs) Maintain an accurate reporting and data management of the activities.   Task Description:   Committees Identification and Creation Inform the community about SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL’s activities and answer any question related to the organization and the program Conduct assessments and surveys in the field to identify sites to implement Community Mobilization activities and to report and constraints.
