DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
General objective: The Construction Supervisor will be in charge of assessing, developing BoQs, and overseeing the progress of Solar projects, Water-related Infrastructure projects, and rehabilitation of shelter facilities as well as he may support in Cash for Rent intervention.
The main challenges:
Priorities for the 2/3 first months:
Assessment of Solar and Water facilities affected/damaged during the war
Support in the assessment of the rehabilitation of Substandard Buildings and Cash for Rent

. Project Design and Planning:
- Assist in identifying areas that require construction interventions.
- Support the WASH, Infrastructure & Shelter PM in discussions and meetings with local authorities, including civil councils and technical departments.
- Contribute to the design and planning of technical program activities, including the assessment of human and logistical needs.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of technical needs assessments.
2. Project Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation:
- Support the WASH, Infrastructure & Shelter PM in planning, designing, and supervising construction activities. This includes but is not limited to:
- River infrastructure projects such as river embankments.
- Irrigation systems, including channels, tanks, and solar water pumping.
- Rehabilitation of boreholes and solar panel systems.
- Oversee and monitor the distribution and installation of Shelter Kits, providing guidance to beneficiary families on construction principles.
- Assess and identify shelter rehabilitation needs, specify required work, participate in the contractor selection process, and supervise rehabilitation projects to ensure adherence to SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL standards.
- Assist in the distribution and/or installation of WASH items, including water tanks and other relevant equipment.
- Identify needs for the construction or rehabilitation of latrines, toilets, bathrooms, or water supply systems, and oversee the work to ensure compliance with SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL standards and completion with the set timeframe.
3. Reporting and Communication:
- Regularly report activities and progress to the WASH, Infrastructure & Shelter Program Manager.
- Maintain and update relevant formats and databases related to rehabilitation and construction activities.
- Report any issues or challenges encountered in the field promptly.

Guarantee the quality of all activities and propose necessary adjustments or improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The construction supervisor will be responsible for:

The Construction Supervisor may be asked to drive SI cars and respect the driving policies set by the logistic department.
