Solidarités International is an International NGO working with vulnerable populations, mainly victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters. Specialized for nearly 40 years in the coverage of vital needs, S.I. takes charge of emergency and reconstruction programs.

ABOUT THE JOB
MISSION
Under the authority of the Waste Water Treatment Activity Manager and Infrastructure Project Manager, the construction supervisor will take part in implementing and achieving the objectives defined in the MADAD 3 project’s proposal, especially the implementation of Decentralized Waste Water Treatment System (DWWTS) in ITSs in North Lebanon and Bekaa.
The MADAD 3 project is built as a consortium, the construction supervisor will relay information about the design and technology to be used in the WWTS project to the activity manager (that support the role of Solidarités International as technical lead for the component related to installation of DWWTS in ITS).
LIST OF MAIN TASKS
DWWTS Implementation Activities:
- Supervise the construction activity for the WASH component of the program
- Ensure the safety of workers / beneficiaries;
- Report the complete construction activity to the Deputy WASH & Shelter Program Manager;
- Monitor the timely installation of decentralized wastewater treatment systems (DWWTS) in informal tented settlements (ITS) in North Lebanon and Bekaa, that SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL’s quality standards are met and proposes adjustments or developments to ensure relevance if necessary
- Collect data on the completed work for final reports;
WASH Activities:
- Take part in the preparation and implementation of assessments Partake in the whole WASH activities implementation process from technical assessment to implementation and monitoring
- Regularly visit the activities’ sites
Reporting
- Report activities to the Waste Water Treatment Activity Manager;
- Report the construction progress to his/her management and update the relevant formats and databases for the construction activities;
- Report any type of problem encountered on the field;
Working Conditions
- Based in the north with frequent travel to SI Office in Bekaa.
The list above is not strictly definitive; an employee working within the framework of these tasks may carry out other tasks if asked to do so by his/her line manager.
The Construction Supervisor may be asked to drive SI cars and respecting the driving policies set by the logistic department.

PROFILE FORSAKEN
Experience:
Required:
2-3 years of documented experience in water sector domains for direct implementation of infrastructural work
Preferred:
Previous experience working with NGO
Knowledge of Lebanese context and work in coordination with Water Establishments
Knowledge of Near/Middle-East Context
