Deputy Wash Program Manager

Responsibilities: Under the authority of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Program Manager, the deputy Program Manager will: Supervise the Hygiene Promotion team and the Construction Supervisors Take part in the definition of the WASH program implementation methodology Guarantee the timely implementation of the WASH activities and ensure that SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL’s quality standards are met   Task description: Project Design In collaboration with the WASH Program Manager, adapt the design of the project as necessary, in particular, the design for the sanitation infrastructures Beneficiary Selection In collaboration with the WASH Program Manager, adapt the beneficiary selection methodology as necessary, in particular, the beneficiary selection criteria and the registration mechanism Project Implementation Supervise and manage the implementation of the WASH activities, including: the distribution of the WASH items (water filters, water tanks and hygiene kits) and the organisation of the hygiene promotion sessions; Supervise the construction work for the sanitation infrastructures and make sure that Solidarités standards are respected.   Monitoring and Evaluation In collaboration with the WASH Program Manager, adapt the monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies as necessary; Support the monitoring and evaluation surveys conducted by the hygiene promoters and the construction supervisors. Reporting Report your activities to the Water and Sanitation Program Manager; Implement the regular reporting for the WASH activities progress using the appropriate formats, reports and databases Report any type of problem encountered on the field;   Candidate’s profile:   Background in civil engineering or sanitation network management preferable Previous experience in project management Strong management skills mandatory Very comfortable with standard office software. Previous experience in humanitarian field preferable Excellent spoken and written English or French mandatory
