Who we are: Solidarites International is an international humanitarian organization which provides aid and assistance to victims of war or natural disaster. For over 30 years the association has focused on meeting three vital needs - water, food and shelter - by carrying out emergency programmes followed by longer-term reconstruction projects. Whilst fully respecting the assisted populations’ customs and culture, SolidaritesInternational’s programmes are implemented through the joint expertise of around 180 expatriates and 1500 local managerial staff and employees. Solidarites International is currently present in Africa (Central African Republic, South Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, Mali, Niger, Mauritania, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast), in Asia (Afghanistan, Thailand, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Pakistan), in the Middle East (Syria and Lebanon) and in Haiti. MISSION Goal/Purpose: Under the supervision of the team leader, the distribution officer will organize, manage and implement distribution to beneficiaries, in keeping with Solidarités procedures and standards JOB List of main tasks : Distribution Under the responsibility of the team leader, take part in logistical and administrative organization, planning, and preparation of distributions. Implement distribution using Solidarités International tools, in particular: Take part in the assessmentand registration of beneficiaries Implementdistribution to beneficiaries Provides technical advice to beneficiaries on using the kits. Ensure that each registered, identified beneficiary has benefited from distributions Keeps records of all distributions Respect Solidarités International's administrative procedures before, during, and after distribution Monitoring and Follow-Up Conduct monitoring visits to beneficiaries to ensure the proper use of the kits distributed Follow-up the quality of items distributed to ensure the conformity with kits specification Weekly report and daily update of monitoring data tool Reporting/Communication Keep monitoring tools and files archived at the Solidarités International office, ensuring their availability to his/her team leader Communicate with stakeholders to ensure the acceptance of distributions in their sites. Archive distribution cards and lists of beneficiaries Under the supervision of the team supervisor, participate in the drafting of distribution reports Pass on any information regarding the distribution process Extract and pass on distribution statistics to the team supervisor and/or program manager Take part in seminars and training workshops relating to distribution tasks and to goal attainment Report to the team supervisor on the progress of activities and specific tasks assigned, problems encountered, the quality of relations with beneficiaries Pass on any information or problems concerning his/her task, Solidarités International programs, or safety aspects  Act as a liaison with the local population and authorities in order to identify the needs, grievances and major events that could have potential consequences for Solidarités International activity Analyze the humanitarian situation, taking protection problems into consideration/Do no Harm to the population Collaborate with local administration and authorities Take part in restitution meetings and clusters on request The Distribution officer may be asked to drive SOL cars and respecting the driving policies set by the logistic department.
