Solidarites International is an International NGO working with vulnerable populations, mainly victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters. Specialized for nearly 40 years in the coverage of vital needs, S.I. takes charge of emergency and reconstruction programs.
With respect for cultures and being close to the people, Solidarites International implements its programs by combining its skills with those of its employees and local managers.
Solidarites International's teams, made up of around 270 expatriates and nearly 2200 local employees, are today present in 18 countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and South America where they are particularly committed to fighting diseases related to unsafe water but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods.
SI Beqaa is willing to create a pool of Enumerators in order to support SI Beqaa MSNA activities upon punctual needs over the year 2022.
The recruitment process will be as follows:
- Following the application deadline, SI Beqaa will be shortlisting the candidates’ profiles based on the mentioned pre-requirements
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and might respond to few technical questions in order to confirm the shortlisting
- The final shortlisting will be issued and all candidates will be contacted accordingly for confirmation
- The selected candidates will be entering SI Beqaa enumerators pool
- Over the year 2022, SI Beqaa will contact the candidates to support on punctual needs SI Beqaa MSNA activities
SI Beqaa aims to rotate its pool meaning SI will solicit the candidates for equal duration, frequencies as much as MSNA activities needs allow it.
However, entering SI Beqaa enumerators pool does not lead to any obligation for SI Beqaa to employ this person. SI is not bound by any employment obligation or any employment duration.
SI Beqaa reserves the right to not solicit a selected candidate from the pool if SI considers that her/his performance goes against the work philosophy and mission of Solidarités International.
Note than anytime a person will be contacted by SI to come for daily work and for the first time, SI Beqaa will provide to her/him two induction sessions: one related to MSNA data collection tools and process, one related to HR process, as described below.
Then, and upon needs, additional technical sessions can be provided by SI to reinforce her/his skills.
ABOUT THE JOB
About the Role:
The enumerator will be responsible for:
- Attending one or more training sessions on the Multi-Sectoral Needs Assessment (MSNA) data collection tool.
This will be conducted on an ad-hoc basis once SI Beqaa will have to conduct MSNA, meaning hiring the enumerator for daily work that will be performed based on SI’s punctual needs, during the hiring period.
- Attending SI HR induction oriented on HR process (SI Code of Ethics and Conduct, SI Conflict of Interest policy, SI Daily Worker Policy, SI presentation and mandate, Humanitarian values, etc)
This will be provided once SI Beqaa will have to conduct MSNA, meaning hiring the enumerator for daily work that will be performed based on SI punctual needs, during the hiring period.
- Using the MSNA tool through KOBO on mobile phones or tablets to collect data from beneficiaries on the field (for a maximum of estimated 9 days per month of full working days).
- Ensuring that challenges during data collection are communicated to SI focal point.
- Participating in discussions regarding the data collection process.
YOUR PROFILE
Specific skills and experience:
At least a high school degree and some understanding of English
At least 1-year experience with data collection in humanitarian settings
Knowledge and technical skills
Knowledge and familiarity Bekaa areas
Knowledge in one sector such as WaSH, DRR, livelihood is desirable
Experience with using mobile data collection software such as KOBO
Experience in interacting with vulnerable communities
Soft skills
Work accurately with close attention to details
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Diplomacy, cultural sensitivity
Motivation and commitment to humanitarian work and values
Language:
