DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
General objective:
The enumerator will participate in the data collection in vulnerable areas in South Lebanon.
The main challenges:
- Respond through tight deadlines.
- Work hard to reach areas.
Priorities for the 2/3 first months:
- Conduct phone-call/field visits for assessments of cases and sites.
- Data entry of collected data from field.
- Support the MEAL Officer to receive the lists, prepare them, identify locations, inform HHs members, and outreach etc.
Responsibilities and main activities:
List of main activities:
- Attend SI HR induction oriented on HR process (SI Code of Ethics and Conduct, SI Conflict of Interest policy, SI Daily Worker Policy, SI presentation and mandate, Humanitarian values, etc).
- Conducting a given daily target of interviews and/or assessments of Lebanese and non-Lebanese households/individuals and collect correct and reliable information in digital formats on Android devices. (Basically, in South Lebanon villages)
- Ensure coordination with MEAL Officer, Project teams and stakeholders involved in the survey/verification.
- Conduct phone-call/field visits for assessments of cases and sites.
- Data entry of collected data from field.
- Support the MEAL Officer to receive the lists, prepare them, identify locations, inform HHs members, etc.
- Report complaints to the MEAL Officer.
- Represent SI in the field.
- Attend relevant training as requested by SI (Technical, PSEAH, FCRM).
- Make sure that all questions have been asked and that the recorded answers are clear and correct.
- Respect the confidentiality of the data collected.
- Participate in the briefing and debriefing sessions and to the organization of the weekly plan with the MEAL Officer.
- Conducting field surveys and data collection based on pre-designed tools to collect answers, opinions, and statements from Lebanese and non-Lebanese population.
Specific skills and experience:
- High school degree
- Basic English Language and the ability to understand simple instructions in English.
- Previous experience in data collection within humanitarian contexts.
- Experience working with diverse and vulnerable communities.
- Familiarity with Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) activities. Experience in using data collection tools (KOBO/ODK).
- Ability to establish respectful and positive contact with individuals and families. Capacity to work independently, under pressure, and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to input data using Android smartphones. Commitment to adhering to Solidarités International’s Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures.
