PRESENTATION OF THE ORGANIZATION

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian NGO which, for more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly involved in the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the first cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in around twenty countries, SI's teams - 2000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, and a few volunteers - work with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

General objective:

As part of the coordination team based in Beirut and reporting to the Grants and Partnership Coordinator, the Grants and Partnership Manager has a key role in terms of accountability and compliance to donors. He/she works closely with the program and support departments at coordination level, as well as with the field teams and the Donor Accountability and Development Officer at headquarters.

The main challenges and Priorities for the first 3 months:

• Support the team in fundraising efforts and proposal writing.
• Support the team in contract management and support the submission of timely, accurate and well-written reports and other reporting requirements.
• Support the development of a localization strategy and the management of partnerships.

Responsibilities and main activities:

More specifically, and in a non-exhaustive way, he/she is responsible for :

• Is responsible for the management and supervision of grants, throughout the contract cycle - from identification of the funding opportunity to project closure.
• Contributes, in liaison with the Grants and Partnership Coordinator, to the engagement and follow-up of donor relations.
• Support on coordination, supervision, and consolidation of project proposals, reports and other contractual documents for donors and / or partners, respecting internal and external deadlines and requirements.
• Contributes to the strategic and financial development of the mission, including monitoring and identifying funding opportunities in line with the national and global IS strategy
• Actively contributes to the respect of donor procedures and compliance with SI practices, as well as capacity building of the teams in relation to accountability tools and SI and donor procedures.

PROFILE NEEDED

Studies : Advanced degree in Political Sciences, International Relations, International Development or any relevant degree

Experience :

• Good knowledge and experience working with institutional donors’ rules and procedures, and the functioning of donor platforms.
• Strong knowledge and experience in contract and project cycle management
• Experience in project reporting/proposals with various donors and/or experience in managing projects funded by institutional donors
• Field(s) experience required
• Sufficient administrative/financial knowledge to understand/review financial reports/budgets.
• Knowledge of the Lebanese context and experience with SI are a plus.

Language :

• Excellent writing skills (in French, Arabic and English), analytical and synthesis skills.

IT :

• Good commands of Microsoft office, donors platforms and communication design applications (i.e Piktochart or similar)

Soft Skills :

• Good planning, anticipation and coordination skills to meet deadlines and respond to internal and external demands
• Capacity to prioritize
• Capacity to adapt quickly and resistance to stress.
• Strong sense of diplomacy and experience of working in an intercultural environment.
• Team spirit, ability to federate and coordinate team members without being the manager/hierarchical supervisor.

SI WILL OFFER YOU

A salaried post :  2300 USD as basic salary

Vacation : 1.75 paid leave per month
