IM Communication Intern

Mission/Objective:

Working under the guidance of the Digital Community Responsible, the IM Communication Intern will actively participate in crafting and implementing impactful communication strategies and materials. With a specific focus on elevating the SOLIS bot—a WhatsApp chatbot designed to disseminate information and services to our target populations—the intern will engage in creative content creation, effective copywriting, and dynamic digital community management. Through hands-on involvement in the execution of a thorough communication plan, the intern will play a pivotal role in the promotion and dissemination of the SOLIS bot.

Additionally, the intern will gather and share success stories from the field for SI Staff and vulnerable populations, showcasing the impact of the SOLIS bot. This internship aims to provide hands-on experience, fostering the growth of communication skills and contributing to the overall success of our communication initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Communication plan: Assist in developing and executing a comprehensive communication plan, outlining strategies to enhance the visibility and engagement for the SOLIS bot.
• Copywriting: Support in working on already written content on the SOLIS bot to ensure its clarity and effectiveness to the end-users.
• Script writing: Collaborate with the IM team to brainstorm and propose video content ideas that align with our goals and values.
• Success Stories: Compile success stories along with the team from the field and our staff, showcasing the impact of the SOLIS bot.
• Design flyers and communication materials: Provide assistance in creating visually appealing flyers and other communication materials such as videos or images to promote our products and services.
• Ideas to Disseminate the SOLIS Bot: Aid in the development  strategies and concepts to effectively disseminate our SOLIS bot to our target audience, enhancing its reach and impact.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program in Communication, Advertising, Journalism, or a related field.
• Full proficiency in written and spoken Arabic. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Creative mindset with an ability to generate fresh and innovative ideas.
• Basic knowledge in digital tools and software for creating visual content is a plus. (e.g.: Canva, Piktochart, Camtasia Photoshop, , PremierPro, …)
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Good communication skills and readiness to go on the field to collect testimony and other communication material.
• A passion for technology and digital tools is a plus
