Assistant Youth Leader - Male

  We are looking for a dynamic Male person who can handle a big responsibility, has experience in humanitarian field  and who has experience with child safeguarding*  Tasks and responsibilities:     Gives an example of integrity and lives the SOS values.     Behaves in an exemplary manner at all times so that the youth may have a model from which they may learn how to live successful independent lives.    Lives in the Youth Home and is present during , weekends and holidays in order to guide the Youth during their rest, meal and study hours.     Follows the rules and regulations of the Youth Home and lives as a fully contributing member, participating in day-to-day chores and activities.     Assists the youth in addressing any personal or social problems they may face, supporting them and guiding them through difficult times.     Keeps informed of social issues such as AIDS, drugs etc., and shares this information with the youth on a regular basis so that they may grow in maturity and responsibility.     Keeps up-to-date with available vocational training and educational opportunities.     Develops and implements weekend and holiday activity programmes for the youth. Such programmes should include recreational and educational activities, and should leave the youth with sufficient time to develop their own personal social life.   *Child safeguarding includes all activities that the organisation undertakes to ensure that its co-workers, operations, and programmes do no harm to children and do not expose them to the risk of harm and abuse; appropriate responses and effective management of child safeguarding concerns are in place; any concerns the organisation has about children’s safety in its own programmes and within the communities they work in are reported to the appropriate authorities.
