It is within this exciting context that the organization is seeking a new Emergency Response Finance Officer for SOS Children’s Villages Lebanon.
Mission of the position:
The Emergency Response Finance Officer’s mission is to ensure efficient and effective financial
management and coordination in the ongoing SOS CVI Emergency Response Programme. S/he is
responsible for ensuring adherence to internal policies and procedures relevant to financial processes
and overseeing the financial management in the Emergency Programmes.
Main Tasks:
> Responsible for managing cash flow and transfers to the Emergency Response
programme.
> Responsible for overseeing and monitoring project expenditure and reporting any
irregularity to the National Finance Manager.
> Responsible for elaborating monthly financial reports and donor reports.
> Technically supports the Emergency Response HR, Finance and Admin Officer in the
location.
> Supervise payment vouchers, cheques and petty cash payments.
> Ensures that all invoices are paid promptly to protect the reputation of SOS Children’s
Villages.
> Prepares Bank and Cash Registers and bank reconciliation statements.
> Replenishes the Project’s petty cash float and ensures this is responsibly and effectively
used at all times.
> Banks all income received and affects all cash withdrawals.
> Administers the project payroll. Ensures correct payment of income tax and other
statutory deductions.
> Submits a projected income and expense form and requests regular transfers to ensure
sufficient running cost funds are received for the project.
> Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account
information and trends.
> Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules.
> Examine statements to ensure accuracy.
> Ensure that statements and records comply with laws and regulations.
>Perform field visits to the Emergency response programs

> At all times ensures that personal data of donors, sponsors, SOS CV beneficiaries and
their families as well as SOS co-workers is handled confidentially and in accordance with
prevailing SOS Children’s Village International data protection laws.
