Focal Point Coordinator

We are seeking a full time Focal Point Coordinator  for the emergency response project dedicated to Syrian refugee children at risk in Lebanon. The contract is initially for 1 year with the possibility of extension depending on the needs. This post is based in the Bekaa region. We are looking for a dynamic person who can handle a big responsibility, has experience in project management in inter-disciplinary teams and who has experience with child safeguarding* (preferably in emergencies).   *Child safeguarding includes all activities that the organisation undertakes to ensure that its co-workers, operations, and programmes do no harm to children and do not expose them to the risk of harm and abuse; appropriate responses and effective management of child safeguarding concerns are in place; any concerns the organisation has about children’s safety in its own programmes and within the communities they work in are reported to the appropriate authorities. The Focal Point Coordinator is in charge of all field activities in the ERP Bekaa.   Tasks and Responsibilities include: To run the local program To maintain the SOS philosophy and ensure that all staff are familiar with the history, philosophy, principles and policies of SOS To hold regular meetings with the staff to discuss current activities, problems, concerns and new ideas in order to ensure open communication and cooperation To involve the staff in the decision making process To share with the plan To follow-up on accounting To report to the National ERP Coordinator Others   Working Hours: From 8:00 AM to 16:00 PM (From Monday to Friday)
