Fundraising Analyst

Key performance areas and main responsibilities:   In close cooperation with the Head of FDC (Fund Development & Communications), and other national FDC team members, the analyst prepares the FR(Fundraising) business plan, monitors the fulfilment of the FR business plan throughout the year and steers the FR reporting processes.  The analyst supports in planning, monitors, analyses and evaluates  all FDC campaigns according to SOS procedures, standards and agreed KPIs. The findings are used to improve benefits of future activities. The analyst contributes input and forecasts to the national multi-year FR strategy and ensures alignment to the annual FR business plans and targets. The analyst ensures the further development of the FR database to meet FR and analysis requirements, he ensures a high quality of data in the FR database and efficient database workflows The analyst manages segmentation in the database and develops it further allowing targeted communications and targeted fundraising campaigns. The analyst undertakes all necessary data selections for FR campaigns The analyst monitors competitors and trends in the market, fundraising-related legal regulations (data protection etc.) as well as the economic development (increase of costs, economic growth,…) in the market.             Competencies – knowledge, skills, abilities     Experience in planning and analysing marketing- or fundraising campaigns   Joy over working with numbers   Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, good knowledge of Microsoft Access, MS Word and MS PowerPoint   Experience in Customer Relationships Management, and an understanding of CRM systems   Self-motivated, determined, innovative, pro-active and with a “can do” mentality   Effective time management skills, ability to work under pressure   Good communication skills, ability to present in front of an audience and to deal with senior staff   Preferred additional criteria     Experience in project management   Experience in tracking/measuring/quantifying the outcome of marketing, fundraising or communications campaigns   Experience in administering & optimising large database systems   A good knowledge of French

Mission of the position: • The main aim of the FR analyst is to conduct KPI based analysis of the associations’ local income from different target groups and through different channels and to steer future campaigns based on those findings. This includes all areas of FDC such as Individual FR, Corporate FR and external communications. • The analyst also coordinates all FDC relevant Planning & Reporting processes. • In addition the FR Analyst is also responsible for the management of the FR-database system which represents the basis for his work as analyst.
