ICT & TECH SUPPORT / ICT TRAINER

1. ICT & Tech Support

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for colleagues seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
  2. Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  3. Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by colleagues
  4. Walk the colleague through the problem-solving process
  5. Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  6. Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
  7. Follow-up and update colleague status and information
  8. Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  9. Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process
  10. Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms
  11. Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records

 

2. Digital Literacy Trainer

  1. Design authentic learning experiences that develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to be effective workers, parents/family members, and community members/citizens.
  2. Teach daily digital literacy and practical technology classes.
  3. Provide quality instruction that fosters an academic learning climate, actively supports teaching and learning,
  4. Utilize effective teaching strategies that provide opportunities for student learning and active engagement in the learning process. Meet the needs of students at risk of academic failure or students not making reasonable progress toward achieving school and personal goals; this may include one-on-one support, pull-out classes in other languages, and referrals to Student Services.
  5. Provide a safe and orderly learning environment in the classroom.
  6. Maintain the computer labs and an inventory of information and technology equipment (hardware and software); tasks include storage, maintenance, and charging of student laptops and management of printing supplies for student projects.

Qualifications Required:

  • BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
  • Attainment of a teaching/training qualification or equivalent relevant experience in teaching is a plus
  • 2 years+ experience working in a relevant field

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Language skills, Arabic (excellent), English (Excellent), French is a plus
