Outreach Officer (EMPOWERING VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN LEBANON)

Key Performance Areas and responsibilities:

• Outreach vulnerable people in the area according to the criteria of the project.
• Conduct interviews with these people for data collection.
• Convince and persuade the outreached people to attend training and awareness sessions.
• Attend all the training conducted
• Attend and monitor the training conduct vulnerability assessments in the field and communication with beneficiaries.
• Ensure the attendance of the beneficiaries at the training and awareness sessions.
• Empower and promote the development of the beneficiaries.
• Write a report about the activities conducted along with its related documentation (pictures, attending sheets).
• Organize sessions/training for the beneficiaries and make sure all the related parties are well-informed and present at the sessions.
• Plan the steps with a multitasking approach.
• Develop and retain solid connections with potential partners and permanent members of the association in order to ensure the unit’s mission and serve the targeted number of people.
• Stay in touch with the Project Manager and project Officer to coordinate the outreach process.

Child Safeguarding (CS)

• Responsible to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to prevent and protect children/young people from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination
• Ensures strong focus on CS prevention by organising informal and formal discussions, workshops and other capacity buildings activities for young people to make them understand CS risks and protection mechanisms 
• Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the CS team at programme level and/or to the respective line manager
