Mission of the position:

SOS storekeeper is responsible for preserving and storing goods or in-kind donations earmarked for SOS Children's Villages. In addition, he is responsible for recording in the books and computer programs prepared for this purpose and the distribution of the goods.

 

 

Key Performance areas and main responsibilities:

  • Conducts an inventory of incoming materials to verify receipt of all items included in the delivery note, invoice or donation receipt.
  • Monitors the application of the in-kind process in all facilities
  • Inspects all received materials to ensure that they are in good condition and conform to the specifications stated in the application form or donation receipt.
  • Stores the received in-kind donations in ways that preserve them without causing any damage, taking into account the preservation of the received donations, storing them with high quality and setting a special code for them.
  • Maintains accurate records of all incoming and outgoing products, and maintains updated inventory records.
  • Correctly and timely enters all stock records into Pims 2 Software.
  • Manages the distribution of the goods between the facilities
  • Prepares new orders for stock to meet needs.
  • Prepares list of needs as per donors requests
  • Prepares reports on inventory counts, records of damage, refusal to receive, etc. As required.
  • Regularly updates inventory of stored goods to make sure that expiry dates are respected.
  • Determines effective methods for storing and identifying inventory.
  • Sends or transports goods to the receiving locations, as requested by the Line Manager.
  • Ensures the cleanliness, security and good order of all warehouses.

 

Child Safeguarding (CS)

 

  • Responsible within own area of work to prevent and protect children of all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination based on SOS Child Protection Policy principles

 

  • Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the national CS focal person or any other member of the national CS team.

 

Protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA)

 

  • Take appropriate actions to prevent and reduce the risk of SEA in areas of operation, including through awareness-raising, training, SEA risk assessments, child safeguarding and other measures;
  • Take disciplinary action in response to proven misconduct, in line with relevant internal administrative policies and procedures.
  • Take steps to identify and effectively mitigate against SEA in all programme activities
