Support Worker

SOCIAL WORKER  Kenshara, Metn region, Lebanon We are seeking a  Social Worker for the Khenshara Center for our projects dedicated to Syrian refugee children at risk in Lebanon.  This post is based at the Community center of Khenshara, in the Metn region in Mount Lebanon (30 km north east of Beirut). This post will appeal to those with a passion for helping children. You will bring experience of psycho-social services in Lebanon and preferably have experience working with children and the Syrian community. You will work in close cooperation with the Director of the Centre, our project coordinator and other experts. Responsibilities: Collaborating with othe experts to plan and coordinate psycho-social activities, drawing on social work experience and children needs; Monitoring, evaluating, and recording children and care givers progress with respect to project plans; Modifying activities according to changes in children and care givers status; Planning and conducting programs to prevent social difficulties and physical/sexual abuse; Performing work by using, developing and / or improving the necessary work tools; Ensuring good respect of confidentiality related to children; Attending training sessions related to the subject of work and the post. Personal Specifications: Degree in social work, psycho-social support or equivalence in relevant areas such as counseling and therapy; At least twoyears of post-graduate experience; Experience in dealing under privileged children Personal Attributes: Talent for dealing with children from a pedagogical point of view through patience and active listening - giving full attention to what children are saying Organization skills, self-disciplined, flexibility; A high interest and passion for working in the rehabilitation sector with children; Comfortable working in an international environment and cross culturally; Ability to work under pressure; Ability to work as a team player
