Grants Officer

The grants officer will:

• Work closely with the Country Director and Deputy Director on acquisition opportunities to:

1. Finance existing and new pilots
2. Scale existing pilots through seed funding

• Expand SC Lebanon and the Middle East region’s donor/acquisition network
• Conduct continuous searches for funding and meet with relevant stakeholders regarding the development acquisition
• Leverage their network to reach donors, contact them and search for any new opportunity to get new acquisitions.
• Take the lead on and write high quality grant proposals for government agencies, multilateral and bilateral institutions, and major foundations
• Research, analyze, develop, and track relationships with new and current prospects for proposals and produce reports, capability statements, agreements, etc. for their development and management.

Requirements/Skills:

• Track record in proposal development
• Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Research and partnership formation
• design, development and submission of complete and competitive proposal packages
• Ability to identify and highlight acquisition and funding opportunities to be pursued
• Experience with acquisition for development and humanitarian programmes
• Has a network of donors and key stakeholders

• Ability to prioritise and plan effectively
