We are looking for an experienced IT Support Officer to be based in our Main Office with frequent visits to Community Centers. Visits to Syria may also be requested.
The IT Support officer is accountable to the Support and Services Manager. The IT Support officer monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems.
Main Tasks:
- Provide technical support to resolve hardware, software, and networking issues for staff, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Regularly monitor, maintain, and optimize the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Set up and manage user accounts, ensuring proper access permissions and security protocols are followed.
- Offer IT training and support to new staff members and users.
- Identify and repair or replace faulty IT equipment.
- Maintain an organized inventory of all IT hardware and software assets.
- Coordinate with the Support and Services Manager to manage procurement and oversee regular maintenance and updates.
- Research, test, recommend and develop new technologies and tools for implementation to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to community centers in Lebanon and Syria, ensuring consistent IT support.
- Develop, manage, and maintain databases that support organizational operations and data analysis. Ensure regular backups, integrity of data, and compliance with data security standards.
- Implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant IT policies and regulations.

Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of work experience, preferably in an NGO setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Proactive attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Alignment with the mission and vision of Tabitha.
