Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Capacity Building
Create, design or/and deliver training programs
for community members, focal points, and SDC staff on life skills, trauma-focused
cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), safe identification and referrals, Problem
Management Plus (PM+), and Self-Help Plus (SH+).

Understanding
trauma and its impact.
·
TF-CBT
principles, assessment (PCL-5, PHQ-9, GAD-7), and psychoeducation.
·
Cognitive
restructuring and exposure therapy techniques.
·
Relaxation
and stress reduction methods.
·
Gender-specific
considerations and ethical boundaries.
·
Provide
continuous technical supervision and follow-up for trained staff through group
supervision, case reviews, and refresher sessions.
Program Implementation & Quality Assurance
·
Coordinate
the roll-out of individual and group trauma support sessions in SDCs and
community settings.
·
Ensure
quality delivery through regular observation and mentorship visits.
·
Integrate
psychosocial approaches into peer support activities and school-based
psychoeducation.
·
Design
curriculum content for peer to peer sessions
·
Develop
referral pathways for severe cases requiring specialized support and maintain
links with national MHPSS actors.
·
Document
progress through participant feedback and monitoring tools to inform project
adjustments.
Supervision & Network Coordination
·
Lead
trainings in Aley, Achrafieh, and Batroun as MHPSS focal points, ensuring
gender balance and inclusive participation
·
Provide
mentorship and monitoring to these trained focal points, supporting them in
conducting individual sessions and peer support groups.
·
Facilitate
regular supervision and reflection meetings to enhance learning and emotional
resilience.
·
Coordinate
with local NGOs, CBOs, and municipal partners to build sustainable community
MHPSS networks.
Monitoring & Reporting
·
Ensure
documentation of training outputs, beneficiary lists, feedback forms, and
supervision notes in collaboration with the project manager and PSS facilitators.
·
Collaborate
with the M&E team to measure changes in stress levels and psychosocial
well-being.
·
Contribute
to narrative and technical reports summarizing achievements, lessons learned,
and impact.
Risk Management and Ethics
·
Integrate
self-care and psychological support for trainees to mitigate emotional distress
during trauma-related activities.
·
Promote
confidentiality, do-no-harm, and ethical boundaries in all MHPSS interventions
·
Support
referrals to mental health professionals for project staff or beneficiaries
when needed.

Education
• Master’s degree in clinical psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or Mental Health.
• Accredited to provide PM+ and SH+ training
Experience
• Minimum 4 years in MHPSS project coordination or psychosocial program management.
• Experience in training and supervising community-based facilitators or SDC staff.
• Technical knowledge of TF-CBT, PM+, and SH+ approaches.
• Proven ability to build local networks and mentor teams in trauma care.
Skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Cultural sensitivity and emotional resilience.
