Psychotherapist - Part-time [Aley Community Center]

We are recruiting a part-time Psychotherapist to provide Mental Health and Psychosocial Support services to women and girls at risk or survivors of GBV (1-2 days per week).

Main Tasks:

  • Provide psychological assessment, support, and individual/group psychotherapy to women and girls at risk or survivors of GBV, in coordination with the case management and PSS team.
  • Design tailored action plans to address the psychosocial needs of each beneficiary.
  • Implement individual intervention plans with the consent of beneficiaries or their caregivers.
  • Organize and facilitate group sessions for beneficiaries and/or their caregivers.
  • Refer beneficiaries to specialized services when needed.
  • Use various communication methods (written, spoken, drawn, etc.) to ensure effective inclusion.
  • Provide capacity building to outreach volunteers and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement preventive and awareness-raising activities.
  • Support and contribute to the effective implementation of project objectives.
  • Participate in trainings as needed and when requested.
  • Document and report any protection concerns or incidents causing harm to beneficiaries promptly to the Line Manager.
  • Respect data protection and security principles, and adhere to documentation guidelines within the project.
  • Maintain complete individual files for each person visited, including detailed descriptions of services provided.
  • Provide internal reporting to the Line Manager on activities according to Tabitha's internal tools.
  • Respect beneficiaries' privacy and confidentiality.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Background/Skills:

  • MA in Clinical Psychology.
  • Holds MoPH Licence.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in psychotherapy.
  • Trained in IPT and/or CBT, or other therapeutic approaches.
  • Believes in a comprehensive, holistic, and recovery approach in mental health.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English.
  • Experience working with NGOs is preferred.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Clear commitment to the project's thematic.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
