Tahaddi is a Lebanese NGO established in 2008 whose aim is to respond to the challenges of extreme poverty by facilitating access to education, health and psychosocial support. Tahaddi principally works in Hay el Gharbeh, Southern Beirut with families facing extreme economic and social hardship. We operate a community-based primary care clinic, a non-formal education center, psychosocial center and income generating sewing workshop.
Tahaddi Lebanon is currently searching for a Billing and Admin Support Officer to join their team.
Reports to: Senior Accountant
Position Overview: The billing and admin support officer’s primary function is to coordinate with the accountant, and the Tahaddi medical and social work team regarding cash assistance and voucher distribution. She/he will report to the Senior Accountant. Working in the admin office, he/she will organize, record and distribute payments and vouchers to Tahaddi beneficiaries. Moreover, the Officer will also update and organize online databases in coordination with Tahaddi social workers, the senior accountant and Finance and HR Officer. The billing and admin support officer will also support the sewing workshop in managing invoicing, receipting and inventory management.
Billing:
- Distribution of cash assistance to Tahaddi beneficiaries in coordination with Senior Accountant and Social Workers
- Distribution of vouchers to Tahaddi beneficiaries in coordination with relief social worker and PSS Director
- Update online databases on payments and voucher distribution
- Keep detailed cash and voucher ledger and reconciliation sheet
- Keep detailed narrative and statistics records and provide timely reports as requested
- Attend relevant meetings and trainings
Admin Support:
- Collect, organize, scan and file accounting entries
- Collect, organize, scan and file finance documents
- Organize administrative database
- Receive and greet all admin office guests
- Attend relevant meetings and trainings
- Other admin related daily tasks as per management request
Sewing Workshop:
- Support sewing workshop manager in:
- Tracking invoices
- Issuing receipts
- Tracking product stock
- Tracking supplies stock
Needed qualifications:
- A BA level degree in Business Administration or equivalent with at least one year of experience
- Honesty, accountability and high levels of integrity
- Advanced skills in excel, word and other Microsoft Office programs/
- A full commitment to Tahaddi’s core values of justice for all, integrity and compassion and commitment to serve deprived families with empathy and respect.
- A desire to work with families facing considerable economic and social pressure.
- Fluent Arabic language skills (written and spoken). French and English are desirable with at least one at a functional level.
- Diplomacy and maturity in dealing with community members of different backgrounds
- Good listening skills
- Good organizational skills
- Patience and compassion with clear personal boundaries
- Equity between patients with regards to gender, age, race, religion or political preferences
- Ability to cope with a dynamic and changing work environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit, sense of initiative, desire to learn, flexibility.
- Ability to manage several priorities and meet firm deadlines
- Computer literate, be at least familiar with Microsoft Office software package
