Elementary Educator In Arabic

The Tahaddi Education Center (TEC) provides educational opportunities for at-risk, out of school children in a very poor area of Beirut (behind the Sport City). We are currently looking for full time Educators in Arabic Preference will be given to candidates who have an academic background in education and/or at least a BA in one of the subjects taught. In addition to teaching at the elementary school level, educators will also be involved in other activities such as tutoring children of the community, organizing social activities or/and facilitating educational activities with young adults. Tahaddi is a faith-based organization. The candidate must be in alignment with Tahaddi core values of: justice for all, professionalism, integrity, and empowerment and be committed to serve deprived and very poor children with compassion and respect. Full-time position: 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm) Position Aim: Help and support unschooled and /or deprived children and young adults to become a valuable part of society through holistic education initiatives.   Primary Responsibilities: Manage and educate groups of children aged 7 to 14 according to the TEC requirements, using exciting methods and instructional materials to meet children’s varying needs and interests. Plan, prepare, animate, lead and mediate in a creative way. Organize educational and social activities for children and young adults of the community. Show self-motivation, enthusiasm and creativity. Work effectively with team members.
