Senior Development Officer

We are a growing local NGO focused on education, social services and health care for families facing extreme economic and social pressure. Tahaddi’s three centres are located in Hay el Gharbeh (Southern Beirut, behind the Sport City). The candidate must be in alignment with Tahaddi’s core values of: justice, integrity, and compassion.   Position Overview: The Senior Development Officer (SDO) will join the leadership team of Tahaddi. He/she will support the long-term growth and development of the organization by planning and implementing fund raising goals in line with established strategic plans. He/she will lead the organization’s fund raising program with support from the program directors and communications officer. The purpose of this position is to support the long-term strategic growth and financial health of the organization.  This position reports to the Tahaddi Co-Founder/ Education Program Director, and interacts mainly with the organizational founders, program directors and communication officer. Specifically, the SDO will be involved in the following areas: Coordinate strategic planning exercises for staff teams, and work with program directors to support program development in line with established goals Based on strategic plans, project longer-range (3-5 years) funding needs. Develop a fundraising plan and goals. Lead the process of reaching these goals, with support from the program directors and communications officer. Strengthen Tahaddi’s network and visibility among partner organizations and donors Pursue communication and relations with the board of Tahaddi regarding fundraising and development Needed qualifications: -          Master degree in International Relations, International Development, Non-Profit Management or related subjects, strongly preferred. Bachelor degree in related area, with relevant experience,  may be considered -          5  years of relevant fundraising and program development experience, ideally at a leadership level in a busy NGO setting  -          Fluent English language skills both written and oral. Arabic and French are highly desirable -          Excellent writing skills -          Comfortable with budgets and financial reports -          Basic knowledge of reporting, monitoring and evaluation systems or a willingness to learn
