Social Worker

  The Tahaddi organization provides medical, educational and social programs for at-risk, out of school children and youth as well as very poor Lebanese or displaced families in a south suburb of  Beirut (behind the Sport City).       Job Summary:   Full time position: 5 days per week from 8.00 to 4.00.   Visit families of students or youth involved in the TEC programs, do case management and referral if needed. Manage relief program of Syrian displaced families put in place by Tahaddi. Provide career orientation opportunities for last year students.       Major tasks   Perform case management including home visits; develop case plans to assist families of children or youth enrolled in any program run by the TEC, make referrals if needed, work in close coordination with the social worker of the Tahaddi Health and Community Center and other specialists. Maintain case history records and prepare reports and recommendations. Take part in the Syrian refugee relief work put in place by Tahaddi in coordination with the other social worker(s) of Tahaddi. This include home visits, assessment of needs, case management, follow up, reports, relief assistance. Establish contact with vocational schools or programs or work places. Organize visits to these places with students. Assist students and parents with registration in vocational schools.  Follow up students registered in vocational programs. Visit work places and set in place objectives  for possible trainings Work in close coordination with the administration and the psychologist Provide monthly reports on the progress and effectiveness of actions made.  Performs other duties of similar nature as requested by the education center management.
