Tahaddi Lebanon seeks an experienced professional with advanced training as a social worker, with knowledge of the Lebanese Health care system to take on the challenging role of managing the Tahaddi psycho-social support programs. The ideal candidate will have five plus years of experience in providing direct service, particularly case management and psycho-social support, to at-risk low income families, and will have experience in leading a team of between 3-7 staff. Tahaddi is a faith-based organization. Job Description – SOCIAL WORKER
Position Summary:
The Social Worker, reporting to the Program Development Officer (PDO) and ultimately the Tahaddi Co-founder, is responsible for managing the social work activities of Tahaddi Lebanon, in alignment with the mission, vision and core values of the organization.
Duties/Areas of Responsibility:
In coordination with the Senior Physician and Hay el Gharbeh Clinic Manager, ensure the smooth functioning of Tahaddi’s two health centers in Nabá and Hay el Gharbeh
Ensure a positive team environment
Conduct weekly meetings with nursing and administrative staff to discuss day to day operations at both the Hay el Gharbeh and Naba locations
Along with the PDO conduct annual review of administrative staff
Participate in some Tahaddi management meetings
Work closely with Senior Physician and Clinic Manager, to ensure high quality, compassionate patient care is being provided by leading the case management unit
Participate in the recruitment of staff in the following areas: receptionist, support staff.
Lead the development and implementation of the psycho-social support program, which is
particularly focused on case management
In conjunction with our partner organization, develop case management policies and procedures.
Lead the case management team which identifies follows and provides appropriate interventions for at-risk cases. This includes conducting assessments (including home visits), developing patient-lead action plans, and accompanying patients on referral visits as needed.
Expand on Tahaddi’s existing referral network to develop new partnerships. Network with partner organizations to facilitate collaboration, contributions and patient referrals.
Oversee the financial assistance program in coordination with PDO, nursing staff and receptionist
Coordinate auxiliary health and activities such as dental programs, parenting classes, women’s workshops etc. in conjunction with the clinic manager
Provide site supervision for the after-school home work tutoring program in Hay el Gharbeh
Reporting:
Write and summit a monthly report to PDO summarizing programmatic activities, challenges and plan for the upcoming month
Manage clinic petty and submit monthly financial report (petty cash reconciliation)
Partner and Donor relations:
In close collaboration with the accountant and Program Development Officer (PDO), provide timely reports (narrative and financial) to donors funding long and short-term health programs

To Program Development Officer and ultimately TEC Director/Co-founder
Skill Requirements:

Strong Arabic language skills. French and English are desirable with at least one at fluent level
Team management experience. Good relational skills with a positive and encouraging spirit while maintaining a professional environment
Experience working at the community level. Diplomacy and maturity in dealing with community members of different backgrounds
Patience and compassion with clear personal boundaries
Equity between patients with regards to gender, age, race, religion or political preferences
Ability to cope with working in a dynamic and changing environment
Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local cultural context
Computer literate, be at least familiar with MS Office software package
Good oral and written presentation skills
Interactions:
Work in close collaboration with the TEC Director, Project Managers, Program Development Officer, Tahaddi staff, and stakeholders, including partners and community constituencies.
Working Conditions:
Willingness to work in very poor neighborhood with basic facilities and complex social dynamics
Experience Required: At least five years of social work experience, preferably working with economically marginalized populations. Team management experience is essential. Experience within the health care system a definite advantage.
Education Required:
Undergraduate degree in social work, Masters level training an advantage.
