Middle East Senior Program Manager

TBB seeks to be a catalyst for systems change in skilled migration, laying the groundwork for this solution to scale to serve millions of displaced people.

The Middle East Senior Program Manager will take TBB’s recruitment and mobility programs to the next level. This role requires a strategic operations expert with a track record of managing and implementing programs at scale. 

We are seeking a dynamic, creative and hands-on manager who demonstrates excellence across a diverse set of responsibilities and who will thrive as part of a fast-moving, collaborative and global team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with TBB leadership and staff to develop and implement short-, medium-, and long-term strategies to expand TBB’s international recruitment and mobility program.
  • Further develop, strengthen and implement efficient processes to consistently identify, prepare, and support displaced people for international recruitment and migration to Australia, Canada, and the UK across a range of industries. This includes delivering high-quality individualized support on CVs, and interviews, supporting displaced people to make informed decisions about their migration options, and coordinating their safe departure. 
  • Manage staff to ensure that programmatic activities and work plans are carried out in a timely, high-quality and coordinated manner and that work plans are adjusted to changing strategic priorities. This includes delegating tasks, supporting staff capacity development, and monitoring performance. 
  • Work closely with the Middle East Director manage and mitigate risk to refugees moving through TBB’s program, including through tailored communications, and strategic stakeholder engagement with partners, governments and employers.
  • Coordinating with TBB’s Communication & Manager to attract qualified candidates to TBB’s Talent Catalog, and coordinating with TBB’s Capacity Building Lead to ensure candidates have access to relevant learning resources. 
  • Monitor and report on program outcomes and actively contribute to global TBB learning, evaluation and reflection initiatives.
  • Ensure appropriate tracking of programmatic expenditure.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Essential Skills: 

  • Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English (required)
  • 7+ years of professional experience, ideally related to project and staff management, human resources, international development or humanitarian response. 
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, keep track of multiple priorities at once, monitor and record progress, etc
  • Proven track record managing staff to meet strategic goals. 
  • A clear communicator with a demonstrated ability to establish effective and working relations with all types of stakeholders.
  • Must exercise good judgment and be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively in order to deliver best outcomes.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong computer literacy and willingness to use/learn to use a range of online collaborative tools (Salesforce, Slack, Google Suite, Trello etc).
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment, tolerance of rapid change and ambiguity. 

 

Desirable

  • Successful completion of relevant Bachelors’ or Masters’ level qualifications
  • Lived refugee experience.
